On the morning of May 24, 2020, the Pines of Olean received its first set of results from our newly State-directed large scale employee COVID-19 testing.  We had 158 negative results, and 2 positive results.  The two (2) employees who tested positive have worked in the Olean building over the past 2 weeks.  As a measure of precaution, we are planning to test all residents who either consent themselves, or whose activated health care proxy consents for them.  None of the residents tested show positive results to date, and we are hopeful, based on our diligent use of PPE and infection contro

We would like to thank everyone for the wonderful turn out for the window visits at the facility, the residents are ecstatic to see you all!  Thank you for all of your patience during our first week as it was quite challenging to organize; however, definitely well worth it to see all the smiles on everyone’s faces!

Hello Everyone, we hope you are well! The staff and residents at The Pines of Olean would like to thank our wonderful families and community for their support and encouragement during this time. The Pines staff are continuing to monitor all guidance from the county and state health departments, and the Centers for Disease Control at the Federal level. We are committed to providing the highest quality of care to our residents, which is why we are making sure to stay current on all mandates for nursing homes.

Many of you will recall the introduction of “Operation Uplift”, a program for residents, friends and families to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of The Pines employees.

Residents were thrilled by the beautiful flowering plants their families and friends sent at Easter from Christian Hollow Farm. Christian Hollow Farms has graciously agreed to waive their delivery fee once again to bring flowering plants to The Pines for Mother’s Day!
