One of our employees has tested positive for COVID-19. As per DOH/CDC guidelines, the facility is mandated to stop indoor visits until a full round of testing for all residents and employees can be completed. Indoor visits are anticipated to resume Wednesday, May 5th.  Window visits will remain available and can be scheduled through the front desk.  We apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to reopening soon.

We are very pleased to announce that all resident COVID testing is completed per New York State Department of Health regulations and all the results are negative. We will be able to continue with in-person visits tomorrow as scheduled. For those of you whose visits were cancelled due to the testing requirements, we will be contacting you in the morning to reschedule you for a Friday visit. You may also call the facility in the morning and the Receptionist will be happy to assist you. Thank you for your continued patience.

Hello Families of the residents of the Pines of Olean, After review of all the new guidance released last evening, we are extremely excited to announce that the Pines of Olean will be able to conduct many more in person visits beginning Monday March 29, 2021.

Our new visiting times will be scheduled 7 days per week between the hours of 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, and can be set up through the receptionist as they have been in the past.

There will continue to be window visits for those who are unable to do in-person visits on Wednesday's, between the hours of 1:00pm and 5:00 pm.

We are currently reviewing all of the new details being sent by the NYSDOH outlining the reopening of our nursing homes. We are so excited to be welcoming our families back soon! This is no small task, but our teams in Olean and Machias are working feverishly to make sure we have everything in place to be compliant and able to reopen. Please check for details as they are available as well as watch for any robocall announcements. We can't wait to see everyone soon!

Update: On March 16, 2021, an employee of The Pines Machias tested positive for COVID 19. The employee is currently in quarantine. According to the NYSDOH regulations, this suspends in-person visits at this time. We will announce when the facility will be allowed to reopen for in-person visits. We are sorry for any inconvenience. Window and Skype visits are still available by calling 716-353-8516 to schedule.

The facility is now eligible to host indoor visits and will begin doing so on Tuesday, March 16th.
