Planned Visitation at the Pines Olean Starting October 5

Hello Family and Friends of the Pines,

As most of you are aware, New York State Department of Health requires that a facility's staff and residents must remain negative for COVID-19 for a consecutive 14 days prior to allowing in person visitation.  We are planning on beginning in person visitation starting October 5, 2020, as this is the date that The Pines of Olean will be in compliance with that requirement, however, the start date is contingent on the ongoing negative COVID-19 tests results.

In person visitation will take place on Mondays and Thursdays between the hours of 9:30am to 11:30am and 1:30pm to 3:00pm, in 30 minute intervals.  Please report to the front entrance of the building a few minutes prior to your scheduled visiting time.

  • There is a limit to two visitors at a time, with no exceptions.
  • A social distance of six feet must be maintained at all times during the visit.
  • Face masks are required at all times for visitors.
  • You will each need to provide the facility with a copy of your negative COVID test, that is dated within 7 days of the visit, upon arrival per the New York State Department of Health guidance.

In addition, the reception staff will be required to take your temperature, ask the COVID screening questions, and obtain your name, address, and phone number.

Please be advised that if any visitor exhibits signs or symptoms of COVID, or have recently traveled to any identified COVID hot spots within the past 14 days, they will be denied visitation at that time, regardless of presenting a negative COVID test, as we must maintain the safety for our residents and staff at all times.

We understand that it may be difficult for many family members to obtain testing, so we will still be offering window visits on Tuesdays from 1:30pm to 4:15pm, and 5:30pm to 6:45pm, and Wednesdays from 9:30am to 11:30am, and 1:30pm to 4:00pm, in 15 minute intervals.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding during this very difficult time.
