Pines Olean Upcoming In Person Visits

Hello Family and Friends of The Olean Pines,

We were very excited to receive the Department of Health guidelines for in person visits and are looking forward to seeing our families again soon! As most of you are aware, New York State Department of Health requires that a facility’s staff and residents must remain negative for COVID for a consecutive 14 days prior to allowing in person visitation. We are currently making preparations to adhere to the new DOH guidelines and will be announcing a start date as soon as all preparations have been completed. The start date is contingent on the ongoing negative COVID testing results. All visitors will be given a rapid COVID test that must be negative prior to visitation. You will be asked to wait in your vehicle while the tests are processed. At this time, the COVID tests will be administered free of charge. There is a limit of 2 visitors at a time, with NO exceptions. Any visitor under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a person over the age of 18. Upon entrance, visitors must go directly to their assigned visitation area and may not walk through the building. A social distance of 6 feet must be maintained at all times during the visit and physical contact with the resident is prohibited. Face masks must be worn by visitors at all times, covering both the mouth and nose. If a visitor fails to comply with this directive, they will be asked to leave. In addition to your COVID test, you will be required to provide the following information at screening: name, address, phone as well as answer a series of questions pertaining to your recent travel and current health. Please understand, for the safety of our residents, any person exhibiting signs or symptoms of COVID, or have recently traveled to any identified COVID hot spots within the past 14 days will be denied entry. We must maintain the highest level of safety for our residents at all times.

We look forward to announcing a start date for in person visits and will continue to offer window visits as well as Skype visits during this transition time.
