COVID Vaccination Clinics at The Pines in Machias & Olean

Cattaraugus County will be offering COVID Vaccination Clinics at The Pines in both Machias and Olean from their mobile unit in the parking lot. Both the Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson vaccinations will be available.

Machias will be Wednesday, September 15, 1pm - 4 pm.

Olean will be Thursday, September 16, 2pm to 5 pm.

Visitation Update Machias for September 3, 2021

We have completed our full house round of testing for residents and are finishing the employee testing. We are planning to reopen for indoor visits on Monday if we remain without any new positive tests. Please contact the front desk to schedule your visits and are currently finishing the employees.

 

Visitation Update for Machias September 1, 2021

Please be advised we had a positive COVID result in our facility. Indoor visits for all units are on temporary hold, pending a full round testing of all employees and residents. We anticipate being able to reopen indoor visits on Monday if everyone is clear.

Updated Visitation for Pines Olean 8/18/2021

We will begin scheduling visits for August 19th.

Each resident has been given a GREEN, YELLOW or RED designation based on their level of exposure.

Visit types will be scheduled based on the designation. 

There will be no indoor visitation until the facility has maintained 14 days without a positive result.

 

Temporary Interruption of In-Person Visits in Machias

One of our employees has tested positive for COVID-19. As per DOH/CDC guidelines, the facility is mandated to stop indoor visits until a full round of testing for all residents and employees can be completed. Indoor visits are anticipated to resume Wednesday, May 5th.  Window visits will remain available and can be scheduled through the front desk.  We apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to reopening soon.

Pines Olean Visitation Update

We are very pleased to announce that all resident COVID testing is completed per New York State Department of Health regulations and all the results are negative. We will be able to continue with in-person visits tomorrow as scheduled. For those of you whose visits were cancelled due to the testing requirements, we will be contacting you in the morning to reschedule you for a Friday visit. You may also call the facility in the morning and the Receptionist will be happy to assist you. Thank you for your continued patience.
