Masks OPTIONAL-Finally!

Cattaraugus County now has a moderate level of COVID transmission which allows us to update our mask-wearing guidance. At this time, mask wearing is optional for residents and their visitors. Employeed may also choose to not wear a mask, provided they have received this year's flu vaccine, due to the widespread prevalence of flu in our area. We continue to strongly encourage mask-wearing for anyone who does not feel well, has signs or symptoms of cold and illness, is immune- compromised or has a known exposure to someone with COVID. Thank you for helping to keep our residents healthy.

COVID-19 testing is NO longer required

After a long 3 years, The Pines of Machias is happy to announce that we no longer require proof of a negative COVID-19 test, before entry! Therefore, visitors no longer need to have their temperature read or perform a COVID swab before visiting. However, signing in and wearing a facility provided mask will still be required.
